CSS 310 Forage Production

Importance of and current production practices for forage crops. Prerequisite:
CSS 300; CSS 305.

CSS 405 Native Plant Ecology Workshop(1 S/U grading only) Distance Ed.
Outdoor workshop involving native plant identification, techniques used in seed collection/replanting, soils, forest and rangeland ecology.
CSS 407 Seminar (1);
SPRING
Senior seminar is intended to instruct students on proper techniques for
presentation of scientific material. Each student is expected to prepare
and present
a scientific seminar and to submit written documentation supporting that
seminar.
Graded P/N. Prerequisite: SPCH 112; Senior standing in agronomic sciences.
CSS 410 Internship
Professional work experience previously approved and supervised by the
depart-ment. Written report required.
Prerequisite: Junior standing, major students only; instructor consent.
CSS 430 Plant Genetics

Theories and principles; polyploidy; qualita-tive and quantitative inheritance.
Prerequisite: CSS 300.
CSS 460 Seed Production

Management practices required for specialized seed production; physiological
aspects; biological characteristics of varieties; hybrid seed, and seed
