New Student Fall Orientation 2004

More detailed information on Mountaineering 101 activities will be coming soon. Please check back for more information.

  • Residence Hall Opening date for new freshman and transfers: Tuesday, September 21. Doors open at 8:00 am.
  • Late Advising and Registration: Tuesday, September 21
    Two sessions available: 8 am - Noon and Noon - 4:00 pm. Session will include placement testing, advising overview and course selection and registration.
  • New Student Orientation - Mountaineering 101 begins bright and early Wednesday, September 22 . Activities include:
    • Opportunities to meet other new students and upperdivision student Ambassadors and campus leaders.
    • EasTrek Adventure: An overnight at a regional camp site to include activities and discussion on critical college transition issues: Challenges you can expect, strategies for college success and fun with new friends.
  • New Parent Activities: Tuesday, September 21
    Reception and meeting with University officials, business offices open, "Letting Go" discussion and family BBQ.
  • New Non-Traditional Student: Friday, September 24
    Non-traditional students are loosely defined as over 25 years of age, or having had a significant break from previous college attendance. Often they have families and/or balance work while going to school. All students are welcome to participate in the week of activities but this 10:00 - 4:00 pm program will be targeted toward specific issues non-traditional students encounter. We encourage non-traditional students to be registered prior to this date since this program will not include advising and registration.
