Why a math degree at Eastern Oregon University?
Getting a math degree at Eastern Oregon University was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Attaining the degree challenged me and developed my critical thinking skills. This better prepared me for the demands of graduate school and more importantly the business community. I have used the skills developed while getting my math degree every day of my life and these tools have been a significant contributor to my successful career.

As a business analyst I helped in the development and led in the application of a complex linear programming model to determine optimal asset utilization and log sourcing for six major manufacturing facilities and 450,000 acres of timberlands. As a facility manager I use the skills developed in getting my math degree to develop problem solutions, achieve process improvements and monitor all variables of plant performance.

Eastern Oregon University is an outstanding institution of higher learning. I benefited from participating in a very personal, yet professional, program that allowed for significant one-on-one interaction with the professors. There was a natural team environment due to the size of the classes and one's ability to work effectively in a team plays a tremendous role in career success. The professors are very accessible. One of the best indicators of the quality of education and experience I received at Eastern is the success I had at a demanding, high profile graduate school and the continued career success I experience. The opportunities are unlimited!
