What teachers say about the Oregon Writing
"It's the best teaching and/or writing experience I've ever had." "This was a great experience." "It was enlightening, positive, informative--the single most educational experience of my life." "Cool--I'm glad I did this!" "I could list every positive adjective available and still not completely evaluate my Institute experience. For me, it has been a spiritual revival." "This was a blast. Finally, a graduate ed. class that provides instant ideas for use in the classroom the first day of school. The group was extremely tight, the time provided for writing was beautiful, and the demonstrations were excellent." "If you want practical advice, excellent ideas useful for the classroom, and time to work on your own writing, this will be the best four weeks ever spent in graduate school." "I think this is one of the most valuable teaching experiences I've ever had. All graduate schools training junior college and four-year teachers should require this format in the teaching of literature and writing. Take the OWP--gain new ideas for teaching, be inspired to write, and laugh a lot." "Revitalizing my teaching. Very helpful. An infusion of teaching energy!" "I'm so impressed with the Summer Writing Institute. Learning to write can only be accomplished through writing--we did write!"
