October 23, 2001

Present: Vickie Lee, Brett Timm, Irene Jerome, Travis Taylor, Rob Cashell, Sue Rayburn, Linda Overlock.

Absent: Helen Moore, Jeff McDonald

Minutes from September 11, 2001 meeting were approved.

There was one 801 to be reported, a lower back strain from the facilities and planning. Another individual is out from a prior report, having had back surgery.

Safetygrams are on the web page now.

The 8th Street handrail issue was raised once again. The street and sidewalk are campus property; Irene and Travis have been in discussion with Darlene.

A student has come down with meningitis but all is under control. It was determined that a quarantine situation is best left to the health center and public health.

The Campus Evacuation Training will take place 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 15, 2001. The marshalling area will be in the quad. During the next month, everyone on campus will be informed of the drill. To initiate the drill, fire alarms will be set off in Loso, Pierce, and Hoke and air horns will be used in the other buildings. A meeting with building managers followed this meeting.

Next meeting is scheduled for November 20, 2001 at 11 a.m.
