NEW BUSINESS

Minutes from last meeting approved as submitted.

New 801s (Workman Comp report)
-Injured Toe. No time lost.
-Employee bumped his eye. No time lost.

Non-801s
-Employee strained back.
-Employee slipped on wet grass outside of Hunt.

No New Safety Grams

OSHA representative will be on campus October 14, 2003. Irene will meet with him in the morning and he will join the Safety Committee Meeting in the afternoon.

OLD BUSINESS

OLD SAFETY GRAMS
-Volleyball Court issue is on hold until Ryan Platt returns to campus.
-No action yet on the Inlow Hall basement ramp. Matt said the recommendation from Facilities and Planning is to remove the ramp.

All buildings were inspected over the summer with the exception of Zabel Hall, Plant Services and the Student Health Center. Those inspections should be completed by the start of fall term.

Other than needing several fire extinguishers replaced, very few violations were found during the building inspections. The Library needs an additional fire extinguisher on the 2nd floor. Vickie comprised a list of fire extinguisher and storage issues in Loso Hall and will forward it to the Safety Committee (for our records) and to Facilities and Planning for resolution.

When Bob Gilmore returns in the fall, the Safety Committee will discuss appropriate posted hours for access to the welding and other art areas.

Next meeting is scheduled for October 14, 2003 in conjunction with the OSHA representative's visit. Time and place to be announced.
