Final plans

We'll plan on a three-hour final on Monday. We may have to relocate, but there should be a room in Ackerman.

The final study guide's up--looks simple, but the devil's in the details.

Attention groups

One thing I've yet to see from any of the draft papers is a plan to evaluate the success of your projects. How will you know if they worked? Over what time frame? How will you collect the data? What specific measures will you use? How will you make sure that evaluation of the project isn't biased in some way toward the main beneficiaries? Etc.

The presentations begin Friday the 27th

With the rest starting Tuesday the 31st of May. So much to do, so little time . . .

This just in from Kuwait.

May 17: Spring Symposium, class canceled

You're encouraged to attend sessions, check the schedule (above) online for what might interest you. Some of our students are presenting, and these are your peers in action.

Resources of interest

Here's something from FAO's site that might be helpful for some of the groups. Here's another from FAO's sustainable dimensions web page.

May 6: New lecture material

We spent Wed-Fri working on group term projects (which we won't do again in class). There is new lecture material up that should help you in designing your projects.

The midterm study guide is up

Check it out and remember how the midterm works.

No class on Friday, April 8. Don't forget--the development measures assignment is due next Friday, April 15.

Welcome to Anth 410/Soc 411. You should go through this website, and make sure you're familiar with the different pages. The hard copy syllabus you received is already out of date. Suitable for framing, but out of date. We'll use the website from here on out.
