Shannon Rempel - Directing
Shannon Lea Rempel was born in Torrance California, June 4 th 1971. She grew up in many different states, California, Texas, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada and then returned Oregon about 8 years ago. The theatre bug caught her when she was 6 years old. She was chosen to play Mary, mother of Jesus in a church Christmas pageant. She appeared onstage in numerous elementary school plays and even participated in a children's fashion show at age 8. Shannon attended McKay High School in Salem, Oregon. Her real theatre training began there where she participated in The Tea House Of the August Moon . She met her now husband in drama class in 1986 while acting in Blithe Spirit . They married in 1989 and have two wonderful boys Andrew 12 and Mathew 10. Shannon has an AAS in Early Childhood Education from Clark Community College in Vancouver Washington. She began working on her BA at Central Oregon Community College/OSU Cascade Campus in Bend Oregon. During her time there she participated in several play productions. Shannon is currently finishing her BA degree at Eastern Oregon University in LaGrande, Oregon. Her major is Liberal Arts with a minor in English and a minor in Theatre Arts. She will Graduate June 2004 and then enter the Masters In Teaching Program at EOU. She plans to teach high school English and Theatre someday.
