Dr. Danny R. Mielke
Dr. Mielke has been a Professor at Eastern Oregon University since 1987. He has served as Coordinator of the Physical Education and Health degree program since 1988. He currently serves as the Division Chair of the Physical Activity and Health program within the College of Education.
Dr. Mielke's current research interests are in health insurance as a consumer health issue. He is now researching the impact of trends toward evidence based medicine and how it will effect consumers as they select appropriate health care.
In addition to duties in Physical Activity and Health, Dr. Mielke is also serving as the Director of the Office of School Initiatives working to develop Dual Enrollment programs throughout eastern Oregon.
